Recruitment for the Anthology of Young Art has begun!
The Association of Polish Journalists and Writers in Wales "Dialog," along with Dialog Magazine, the Academy of Young Journalists, and Gwrol Publishing House, is excited to announce a unique initiative aimed at encouraging young talents to express their creativity and love for Polish literature and culture. We invite young people aged 8-24 to participate in a special project—a book created for and by young individuals.
Our Anthology of Young Art will feature works from various artistic disciplines, including poetry, prose, photography, painting, drawing, and collage. The main theme is art in its broadest sense, though we particularly welcome works related to Poland—such as Polish roots, affection for Polish culture, personal stories, friendships with Poles, and reflections connected to our homeland.
Why should you participate in this project?
Artistic Expression: This project offers young people a chance to express their creativity, develop new skills, and build self-confidence.
Cultural Heritage: We aim to celebrate and highlight Polish heritage, allowing young creators to connect with their roots and share their unique perspectives on Polish culture.
Community Bonds: Participating in this social project fosters mutual understanding and strengthens the bonds between Polish and Welsh communities.
Recognition: Selected works will be published and accompanied by a biographical note about the young contributors, providing them with a sense of pride and an opportunity to showcase their talent to a wider audience.
Educational Experience: This project will offer an educational experience where young people can learn about the publishing process and the importance of collaboration in creating a bilingual project.
Inclusiveness: The project is open to all, regardless of background, fostering greater appreciation for cultural diversity and the various ways people connect with Poland.
Participants in the recruitment process will also have the opportunity to join poetry and art workshops organized by our association.
We encourage parents, guardians, and school principals to motivate young people to participate in this extraordinary initiative. Together, we can create something truly special that will resonate for years to come. To submit your work, please contact our Association at the following email address: youngjournalistsacademy@gmail.com.
We appreciate your support and look forward to the involvement of young artists in this unique project.
